7 Artists under the Dordogne Sky Exhibition

Every weekend from June 22nd to July 7th

From 7 to 12 September, seven artists represented by Turquoise

Gallery gathered in the Périgord region of southwestern France for an

immersive art retreat. Along the banks of the Dordogne River, they

practiced open-air painting as a form of visual development, guided by

artist and gallery owner Abeer El’Khateb.

The retreat’s intention was twofold: to respond to the region’s fertile

valleys, forested hills, and storied castles, and to challenge the artists to

deepen their technique while connecting with a landscape of remarkable

beauty.

Among the many scenes explored, the village of Rocamadour became

a central subject. Rising vertically above the Alzou canyon, its

sanctuaries and chapels are built directly into the cliff face, crowned by a

fortress at the summit. This dramatic vista invited the group to

experiment with composition, light, and atmosphere, while workshops

with Abeer provided structure and inspiration.

The paintings presented here are the outcome of that shared

experience: a dialogue between place, practice, and perspective, where

each artist translated the Dordogne’s timeless scenery into their own

creative language.

YAEL HERRERA HALLEY

Every weekend from June 22nd to July 7th

Born in Mexico City and now based in the Netherlands, Yael Herrera Halley creates paintings that drift between realism and reverie. His portraits capture quiet, intimate encounters; his landscapes evoke fleeting moods and half-remembered places; and his symbolic narratives invite viewers into a world of myth, memory, and dreamlike ambiguity. Blending classical technique with a poetic search for meaning, Herrera’s work lingers in the space between what we see and what we feel — a visual language of moments suspended in time. Come and explore his artistic journey in this captivating new exhibition.

ABEER EL KHATEB

Ongoing

In The Wonder In Between, the artist invites you into a space where thought and feeling intertwine. Through a series of layered, expressive works, this exhibition explores the quiet tension between what is seen and what is sensed—where logic softens into intuition and form gives way to possibility.

Each piece is an invitation to pause, reflect, and discover meaning beyond the surface. A journey not just through images, but through perception itself.
